Meet the 2023 Jeep Wrangler
The Jeep Wrangler is one of the most iconic car models that is still made today. With a rugged appearance and some of the best-in-class off-roading capabilities available on the market, it’s no wonder that the Wrangler continues to have a loyal following. The 2023 model adds a few new features to an otherwise timeless classic.
Basics About the 2023 Jeep Wrangler
All Wranglers come equipped with four-wheel drive and a variety of off-roading packages that can be added to base trims to give you everything you need to tackle the elements.
What’s New in 2023
Hybrid Powertrain
The most notable change to the Wrangler lineup in 2023 is the 4xe Wrangler, a plug-in hybrid that combines a powerful 2L four-cylinder engine paired with a dual electric motor and a total output of 475 horsepower.
The 4xe Wrangler is the most powerful trim level available, slightly more powerful than the top-of-the-line Rubicon 392 that is powered by a 470 horsepower V8 engine and boasts a total range of 370 miles before needing to be charged and refueled. The 4xe can also go up to 21 miles on an empty tank.
Engine
Beyond the Rubicon 392 and the 4xe, the standard 3.6L V6 from previous Wrangler model years is also available with an optional hybrid assist in both automatic and manual transmissions.
Other options include the turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine and a turbocharged diesel V6 engine, both only available in automatic variants.
Interior
The interior of the Wrangler is designed to give you the best visibility possible, and the vehicle is famous for the ability to take the roof and doors off to let you really experience the summer weather.
Optional leather seats, an upgraded audio and radio system with SiriusXM and navigation, and a digital heads-up display for the driver all allow you to customize the inside of your Wrangler exactly as you’d like.
Options
Wranglers are known for their wide customization options, and you can upgrade almost everything on the interior and exterior of your new Jeep. These packages include blind spot monitoring and parallel and rear parking assists, trailer tow and electrical hookups, and a power convertible roof and leather seats.
Off-roading upgrades include steel bumpers that are winch capable and come with additional fog lamps, locking differentials, 35-inch off-roading tires, and an off-roading camera integrated to the center console to help maintain your visibility while driving through mud and rain.
